The South Gloucestershire team have created resources that will support schools with developing their computing curriculum, using ICT to enhance learning and supporting subject leadership in ICT. We have provided some examples of these resources below. For access to our whole range of resources then you will need to access to the secure area of our web site. Our ICT Advisers have created a computing scheme of work through consultation with head teachers and teachers to support schools with implementing the new curriculum. The scheme is designed to be supportive and not prescriptive. The intention is to remove some of the planning burden so that teachers can focus on getting to grips with resources and teaching.
The planning utilised resources that are free or that we know many schools have and is supported by created resource files using these resources.
Sample modules from the scheme of work can be accessed in the resource document list below.
We provide suggested policy documents adapted and localised from SWGfL guidance. An example of our acceptable use policy template for parents
We have created primary sample theme plans which show some examples of ways that ICT can contribute to the wider primary curriculum and there is an example below.
